One of the most amazing things about being human is our ability to dwell in our current state of mind. We go through so much at different phases in life but somehow all we seem to remember is now. You could have walked through hell yesterday, but once you crossed it, you suddenly get amnesia and forget how hot it actually was. We so easily forget the misery associated with our previous situation that when we make progress, we invent new miseries to focus on.
Truth is, We have the ability to channel our thoughts and energy in whatever direction we choose and if we don’t pick a direction, well, it just kind of wonders everywhere and willows in imagined doom. So what does this have to do with fitness? Everything!
Stop praying for other people’s bodies. Love you as you are and only seek to improve what is already awesome. As you improve, never forget where you started from and always be grateful for where you are now. Believe it or not, there are too many people in the world that would kill to be you right now, so rather than fall victim to negative cycles, make a conscious decision to be grateful for every little thing and refocus on the positives.
