I’m not even sure where to start from. A piece of me feels like an apology is owed, another piece feels like you’ll understand and then there’s the last piece that sees my little boys face and thinks “does it even matter?”. There were so many stages during pregnancy that I thought “Oh this will be so awesome for Makkoy”… I could see the blog posts and my camera was out ready to record… but when the moment simmered, I would think… you know what? I want this one just for me… too much to ask?
I apologize for being MIA. You know, i tried so many times to start back up but the time off was so needed and I totally enjoyed it *Covers face* 😎 . I have to say God has been so amazing and surprised me in EVERY area of life. So I needed some time to bask in the experiences and get through the “is this real, let me see if I wake up from this dream” Haha.
Now that little one is a little older, life is getting its rhythm back and a few things are more predictable so we are back for real this time: Fitness, fun and everything in between. The cool thing about getting pregnant, having my baby and getting back in shape is I had to start over and re-learn everything. Some days were annoying and others frustrating but like you, I had to go back to basics and find fun ways to get over the hump.
See, fitness is oh so simple if you just understand how your body works and how it interprets your actions. Most people put in so much effort in the wrong places, then quit because they see no results. If you would just take a step back and make every change you make worth it, then your results will be exponential!
So if you have never followed Makkoy in the past… lucky you, you get a chance to learn it all and begin your fitness journey with me. And for those that have… well you know how simple Makkoy is 😉 . Either way… Let’s do this! No excuses. New blog posts will be available on Wednesday mornings, feel free to hold me accountable 😆 . Thanks for all the emails, messages and love!
