A week ago I was headed on vacation. I had been so stressed and was excited to get a chance to unwind and relax. I had my “take it to go” plan in place. I was only going to eat what I needed, take the rest to go and use it for another meal later. The only problem was I didn’t anticipate we would be at theme parks most of the time and that our hotels would be stocked with all sorts of munchies! I only had mental ammunition for restaurants. Lol
Disney, sea world, and it goes on. They were all so awesome. Each one was so huge that we were always on the go trying to cover as many rides and shows as possible. The food was fantastic junk fair food. Hehe. I started out just tasting stuff here and there. But being faced with all my demons at once.. Ice cream, funnel cakes and turkey legs on every turn, I decided to bulge. Lol
Honestly, I can’t say that I am mad for making that choice, or that I regret each of the funnel cakes I ate, and did I forget those awesome frozen strawberry fruit bars.. Lol. But as I seat in my flight back to Dallas, the colorful food kiosks on every corner are gone, the amazing aromas and people in weird outfits are not here either… and the food is out of sight… I can’t help but wonder if it was worth the hard work I will be putting in to make up for it.
The good news is…Yes there’s always good news 😉 I had an amazingggg vacation with family and I know exactly what I need to do to get on track: Get my food in check, get into my workout routine and push a even harder initially to make up for the past week. It’s still about my lifestyle and I will be getting back into my fitness courses so I will keep you posted on new learnings. Happy holidays folks!
