Thanks Moren. God bless you for Makkoy. My comment has nothing to do with today’s post. But we had some guests and we were discussing on eating well and being fit and I got confused. A woman said we can eat anything we want as long as we watch our portions and calories . I believe that is what Makkoy too says. Follow your calories etc. Then another woman says it’s more than calories. As we get older, there are some foods we should avoid. She said even fibroids and many diseases have to to with our diet. She said even in little portions, there are some foods that are not good for you at all. Personally I seem to believe this. The Nigerian diet has so much starch(carbohydrates ) that are not too good for our health and very fattening…. Eba, foofoo, iyan etc. I believe you can substitute with plantain flour foofoo, wheat foofoo, oat foofoo etc. Also I think that red meat is not healthy. We should do chicken, turkey, fish etc. I think even in little portions, you really should avoid certain foods. I believe we have too many options. I guess I am talking from the point of view of those who are over 50. Please makkoy, can I have your opinion on this
Awesome question mum. I will respond in a new post this week 😉
