HATE THE GYM? Right now… Me too *Shrug*

That morning, my phone buzzed waking me up from sleep. It was a message from one of my best friends “Are you pregnant?” I burst out laughing. Apparently, being quiet on social media is an indication that there may be someone brewing in your belly. LOL.

In the next moment, my little guy stormed into the room. “Good Morning my darling! You sleep ok?” It’s cute at this age he has his buzzwords so if it sounds like a question, chances are he’s response would be a soft sweet “No”. I laughed “You sure Mr. Jibs? You sure do look like you slept good”… “No” Haha.

Before I knew it, it was time to drop him off at school and then right into back to back client meetings. We were getting updates done at the house so in between meetings I was connecting with contractors and ironing out details. It felt like I blinked and the day was over. It was time to go get my workout in and I was dreading going to the gym.

Single, married, no kid, 10 kids, full time job or Entrepreneur… Life just gets busy. In any moment there are several things begging for your time and attention. Fitness is one. Sometimes you are focused on fitness and other times you just don’t have the energy to deal with it. Whenever fitness bores me, it simply means it’s time to find something new to look forward to and have fun with.

Up until that day, the gym was Bae and now I was totally over it so I started my process to switch things up. Hubby’s stationary bike at home? I hate that thing! But I give it a shot hoping one day I might love it. Still hasn’t happened Haha. Online workout videos, a jog/run outside, Dance my heart out for 40 minutes, try a different machine at the gym or maybe take group classes at the gym? This time I landed on swimming and I am having a blast with it.

The problem with most people is that they give up when they get bored. It’s like a death sentence to their fitness journey when in reality it doesn’t need to be. You just need to understand the intensity needed for what you are trying to accomplish and the exercise type: Cardio or Strength Training. However you choose to get your workout in is totally fine. So keep calm and try something new. Enjoy it while it lasts then hop on to the next thing when the boredom hits again. It will. Fitness is simple
