Put Your Money Where Your Mind Is

I got home today after a very successful meeting. I grabbed a bag of grapes and looked in my fridge for something to drink. Usually my options are water or water with lemons but there it was, Vita Malta… A bottle of bootleg maltina. These are the things you sign up for when you decide to live in the states but want a taste of Africa. Lol

I really didn’t feel like it, but hey, it was there. So I grab it, sink in my couch and have at it. This decision really started 2 days ago when I went to the African store to get a few things for the house. I walked in and the first thing that caught my eye was this six pack of vita malta. I had not bought soda in months but for some reason it was screaming my name and even if I would usually ignore the urge, this time I went ahead and put it in my basket.

The first one I had was like heaven on earth, but every one after that, I knew was so unnecessary. The way I see it, I am never on a diet so I really can eat anything. In the same token, there are just some things that I have learned that don’t do my body any good so I try to avoid them and choose to make better decisions for myself… Only cause it makes sense.

Truth is, a while ago I decided I wouldn’t buy anything I really didn’t want to eat. I figured if I didn’t have it, there was no craving to fight. Happens all the time, I start craving something I can’t quite place my finger on, I walk to my pantry/store, look around… Find nothing… Bummed out I go find something else to do. Some time passes and I get over it. Lol

Remove the challenge… Put your money where your mind is. If you know you would rather not eat it… Don’ t buy it. Remember, shoot for a lifestyle change not crash diet. Lets do this!
